The Kid Does kindergarten!

Well folks, the time finally arrived: Jordan’s first day of Elementary school. I officially have a kindergartener! I always joked that my husband would have to pick me up off the floor rocking in the corner when Jordan started big school, but I’m proud to announce that I was not boohooing in the corner somewhere, and Jordan, once the kid proclaiming he didn’t want to go to school, has totally changed his tune.

For the days leading up to the first day, Jordan was a mix of excited and nervous. Even the morning of, he was saying he didn’t want to go to school. When we parked at the school, he said he was nervous, wanting to hold mine and his dad’s hands. But as we walked into school, he loudly proclaimed that he wasn’t nervous anymore, and when he spotted his teacher, let go of our hands and ran to her! I was so surprised that the same kid who ran from the classroom just two days prior was running head first into this new adventure. I’m definitely one proud mama!

God bless all the Kindergarten moms enjoying the newly found freedom while also not wanting to say goodbye to their littles. Get some rest, enjoy the *gasp* silence, and know your kids are having the best time!
