Fall 2017 Bucket List

In the spirit of stepping full force into this new season and wrapping up 2017 in as great a way as I can, I made a bucket list for the Fall. This list consists of things that put a smile on my face and elevate me emotionally. No particular order, just particular to me.

Officially start my business. If you notice, I've never marketed my photography services. It's part fear of the unknown, part preparation, and part perfectionism (ugh). Any photographer knows that snapping pictures is nowhere near the main thing that it takes to run a photography business, so as I learn the ins and outs of this new venture, I want to feel comfortable before bringing something to the public as a service for purchase. But I also know that nothing will ever be perfect, and at a certain point, it's just stalling.

Work out consistently. I love working out and because my bread and butter is working out alone, the best time to do this is while Jordan is at school. When the Summer comes and he's with me all day every day, it can be a little too difficult for me to keep telling him he can't exercise on the treadmill with me, and keep stopping to put his headphones back on his head after they've slid off for the 5th time in my 30 minute power walk. Now that he's back in school, though, I've been easing back into it, but I'm pushing myself to go at least one day when Jordan is out of school so I can maintain my goal of going to the gym 4 days per week.

Decorate for the seasons and holidays. I usually don't decorate much because that also means I have to take them down. No thanks. But I love the decorating process and I want Jordan to experience the feel of Christmas lights, little fake pumpkins everywhere and the general Fall tones of the season.

Go to a pumpkin patch. I haven't been since I was a little girl, and aside from a GREAT excuse to snap pictures, I want Jordan to experience it as well. And if there's a hayride too, just take my money!

Pass out Halloween candy. I've only experienced Trick or Treaters coming to my door maybe 3 times in my whole life.

Watch the "13 Nights of Halloween" on Freeform. All you ever have to tell me is "Hocus Pocus" will be on TV almost every night for 2 weeks, and you can bet your butt I'll be tuning in! I love the idea of being able to relive the movies from my childhood that brought me so much joy and introduce Jordan to some of them, too!

What are your plans for the Fall? Do you have a bucket list for the season? I'd love to read about it in the comments!
